DTS. E5 The Great Kingdom Northern Round Trip 7 days 6 nights
Sukhothai and The Lanna Kingdom didn’t only have the connection at the border but also their religion, culture, architecture and commercialties. King Ramkamhaeng from Sukhothai suggested King Mang Rai to establish Chiang Mai in 1286. Phra Mahasamana from Sukhothai brought Buddha’s relic to Doi Suthep temple, Chiang Mai in 1383. They also used the same script called “Fak Kam”. Additionally, Sukhothai style kilns were found buried all over Chiang Mai.
