Day 1: Chiang Mai city tour (L, D)
Morning - Pick up at Chiang Mai International Airport and transfer you to Noble Place hotel or equivalent. Visit Chiang Mai Art & Cultural Center which shows the lifestyle of people of Lanna Kingdom and learn how the Kingdom became more prosperous. Each section of the showrooms tells interesting stories and legends of Chiang Mai people in the past.(The museum is closed on Monday)
11.00 Visit the lifestyle of local people at a local market where the different foods, such as the bamboo worms, ant eggs, insects, vegetables and fruits are sold. You can take this opportunity to meet and greet local people.
13.00 Head off to Wat Phra Tat Doi Suthep , a holy and indigenous temple of Chiang Mai. It has a golden Pagoda which contains the relics of Lord Buddha. Experience the elegant scenery of Chiang Mai, surrounded by high mountains range and the cool stream of the Mae Ping river.
17.00 Return to your hotel and relax.
19.00 Enjoy your Khantoke dinner including native foods of the north (Vegetarian or halal food is on request) . During your meal the northern and tribal dances will be performed.

Day 2: Chiang Mai National Park (B, L, D)
08.30 Travel to Doi Inthanon , the highest mountain of Thailand( 2,600 Mts. from sea level). Visitors will be fascinated by the beauty of views surrounding by mountains.
11.30 At the Ang Kha nature trail, you will fall in love with a variety of green plants which have the same species with the plants in Himalaya mountain such as moss, wild roses, wild orchids, etc.
12.00 Have lunch at a local restaurant.
13.00 Climb up to Noppametineedol and Noppapolphumesiri Shrines which represent the faith of Thai people to Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand. Visitors can be admired with the panoramic scenery of the border of Chiang Mai and Lamphun provinces on the pagodas as well.
14.00 Visit the Royal Project where many winter flowers and fruits from all over the world are planted. You can take this chance to visit Mong and Karen village because they are located near the royal project.
15.00 On the way back to your hotels, we will stop over at the white rapids of famous Wachiratan waterfalls.
17.00 Back to your hotel.
18.00 Have dinner. After the meal you are on your own to take a walk to Chiang Mai Walking Street inside of the old city wall of Chiang Mai. You will see the colorful lifestyles of Lanna people while selling their native souvenirs (Open only on Sat. and Sun.) or at the colorful Night Bazaar .

Day 3: Chiang Mai elephant camp - Chiang Rai (B, L, D)
08.00 Check out from your hotel. Take an elephant riding for 1/2 hour at Mae Sa Elephant Camp where visitors will also enjoy the elephants at work , hauling timber logs, playing and bathing in a cool stream. You will get to know the World Famous Young and Clever Jumbo painting cherry flowers and writing words! Then we will visit the nursery of new born baby elephants.
12.00 Have lunch at a colorful orchid and butterfly farm.
13.00 Leave Chiang Mai for Chiang Rai.
16.00 Stop by at Wat Rong Khun . Be impressed with the talent of the most famous artist of Thailand " ChalermChai". Here you will be amazed with his performance such as the un-immitatable sculptures of the Vihara, the fantastic stained glass and mosaic tile interior decoration and the amazing paintings inside the showroom. The most beautiful wall painting of Lord Buddha in the chapel will also attracts you so much.
18.00 Check in at Laluna hotel Chiang Rai or equivalent and take a rest.
19.00 Have dinner at a fine restaurant. |

Day 4: Chiang Rai and the Myanmar border (B, L, D)
07.00 After breakfast, check out from your hotel.
10.00 Visit Yao or Mien hill tribe village . Yao is one of the few hill tribe people who have their own written language, derived from historical Chinese lettering. Mien women are easily recognized by their characteristic dress. They wear a large flowing black coat, tied at the back. A large red muff lines the front of the coat. Then continue the tour to Akha village . Akha people are famous for traditional values and practices, their colourful embroidered costume, and the women’s elaborate headdresses.
12.00 Have lunch at a fine local restaurant.
13.00 Then head off to Chiang Saen, the important ancient city of Lanna Kingdom. Visit the Golden Triangle where the borderlines of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. This place used to be the famous opium business center where was purchased with gold.
15.00 Continue your trip to Mae Sai , the northern most city of Thailand and its border of Myanmar. Enjoy your shopping at a local market (Crossing the border is optional.) Then leave Chiang Rai and stay overnight at Tha Ton village.
18.00 Check in at Khunmai Baan Suan Resort or equivalent and take a rest.
19.00 Have dinner at a fine restaurant. |

Day 5: Pai city tour (B, L, D)
07.00 After Breakfast, check out and then visit Chiang Dao cave , a highly recommended tourist attraction with a stream teeming with fish flowing in front of the cave's entrances. Within the cavern is Burmese-style Buddha images and spectacular rock formations. The biggest herb market of Chiang Dao is also located here.
10.00 Head off to Pai.
12.00 Have lunch at a local restaurant.
13.00 Stop by at Wat Hua Na , located in a rice field. It is famous for very beautiful local arts then visit Wat Nam Hu , where the ashes of Prince Supankunya are enshrined in the pagoda. Then pay your respects to the Buddha Image which has an empty head, but when the hair is opened and closed, water leaks from the head.
16.00 Be impressed with the sun set from Mae Yen Buddhist temple and the beauty of Pai’s scenery. Check in at Pai Baan Thai or equivalent.
19.00 Have dinner at a fine restaurant. Take a walk at Pai walking street . |

Day 6: Mae Hong Son nature (B, L, D)
08.00 Check out before depart to Mae Hong Son. Visit Phu Klon where the mud from a volcano is found here. It is a world wide famous for producing skin treatment.
10.00 Travel to pay your respect to the holy Buddha image at Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu , the symbol of Mae Hong Son where you can see the beauty view of the city. Continue your trip to Wat Nong Jong Come where the chapel was constructed in Shan architecture.
12.00 Have lunch at a restaurant.
13.00 Visit the Long Neck Padong village at Huay Sua Tao, the tribe who has a very interesting and remarkable lifestyle.
15.00 Check in at Mae Hong Son Mountain Inn or equivalent.
19.00 Have dinner at a fine restaurant. At night, you will see the wonderful image of Nong Jong Kham temple which reflects in a lake. |

Day 7: Mae Hong Son city tour (B, L)
07.30 After breakfast, check out and Travel to Fish Cave where you will enjoy watching the different fish swimming along the river. Pay your respect to the holy Buddha image, called Pra Song Krung or decorated Buddha image, which was carved in Burmese style.
12.00 Have lunch at a restaurant.
13.00 Keep travelling to Lod cave where the Nam Lang stream
flows from the entrance to the end of the cave and creates the stalactite and stalagmite. Inside the cave, you will still see the 3,000 year - old teak coffins of pre-historic man. (Bamboo rafting is optional).
15.00 Stop at Pa Pae hot spring . There are 3-4 big hot springs and some small and scattering all over the area. Here water erupt from geysers in a small stream, creating clouds of steam in the woodland. Sometimes, the hot water erupts about 2 meters high. The temperature of water is around 90-99 degrees Celsius.
16.00 Drive back to Chiang Mai
19.00 Arrive at Chiang Mai. Transfer you to the airport. |
