Classical Vientiane  Amazing Plain of Jars Tour 3 Days 2 Nights

Day 1 : Vientiane city tour     (Lunch, dinner)

9.15 Leave Bangkok for Viantiane by Laos Airline QV424.
11.10 Arrive at Wat Tai Vientiane airport. Transfer to Dansavanh Hotel or equivalent.
12.00 Lunch at Khobjaider restaurant.
13.00 Visit  Chiang Khuan cultural garden where stone sculptures related to Buddhist principles.
15.00 Visit  Wat Prathat Luang , built by King Pra Chetthathiraj who ruled Chiang Mai city in  1566. The temple also  has a very fantastical splendid golden pagoda.
16.00 Take a walk at Patuxai , the Victorious Ga
te built to memorialize  the heroes of Laos who sacrificed their lives during the war before the revolution of the communist party. The structure of this monument was influenced by French architecture, King of colonialism that period. In the evening, this place becomes a busy meeting point for young Laotian boys and girls to get together and also a good sport center for those who love exercising.

17.00 Return to your hotel
19.00 Leave  hotel for Platoke Lao Derm  to enjoy Laos traditional meal and dances will be performed.
21.00 Return to your hotel and take a rest.

Day 2 : Xiang Khouang, the Plain of Jars     (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

8.00 Take a walk at Vientiane Morning market  (but opens all day). Enjoy your shopping by bargaining the prices of various kinds of beautiful local souvenirs and try tasting Laotian food and snacks.
9.30 Visit Ho Pra Keao, built by King Chetthathiraj in 1565, for keeping the Emerald Buddha image which was brought from Lanna Kingdom. Later in 1779,the Buddha image was brought to place at Wat Pra Keao in Bangkok by Thai troops.
11.00 After lunch. Head off to Wat Tai airport to take the flight QV 401/403/405 to Xieng Khouang.

12.00 a.m. Leave for Xieng Khouang by Qv401/403 / 405 (Please click here to check the flight time table.)

13.10 Arrive at Xieng Khouang airport and transfer to Duang Keow Manee hotel or equivalent. 

14.00 Visit The Plain of Jars  which can be categorize as one of the world wonders. They are large stone jars scattered in wide fields with no any legend telling about the builder and purpose. The largest size is 3.25 meters thick and its mouth is 5 meters wide. Some believes that they might be used as a coffin since people found skeletons inside. Some believes that it was the room for keeping bottles of whisky of the ancient warriors. And some believes that it was a natural phenomenon as same as the Stonehenge. 

15.30 Head off to Muang Khun , the old capital of  Xieng Khouang before it was moved to Phonsavanh affected by American air force bomb during the Vietnam war which made the fields no longer cultivable.  Many ruined places become the reminding monuments such as Wat Pia Wat which even the front of Chapel was bombed, some structures and the Buddha  image still remain. However, the face of Buddha image becomes freakishly distorted. Then visit the  French style hospital which also was bombed.  

17.00 Back to the hotel.
18.00 Have Dinner and take a rest.

Day 3 : Xiang Khouang morning market     (Breakfast, lunch)

9.00 After breakfast at your hotel, check out and visit charming home cottage industries in Xieng Khouang such as a wood carving village  and the demonstration of Laos silk weaving  under the organic method by start growing mulberry trees to produce leaves and feed them to silk worms. The colours of silk are also made from various kinds of plants. Then keep visiting a food market  which you will find different kinds of plants, vegetables , fruits and wildlife animals for sell. The best way to learn Xieng Khouang people lifestyle.

12.00 Take a local dish "Phuer" for your lunch which looks like noodle soup with chicken or beef. 

13.50 Leave for Xieng Khouang airport to take a flight to Vientiane by Laos Airline QV402, 404 or 406.

14.20 Arrive at Vientiane and continue the flight to Bangkok at 16.30 by Laos Airline QV415
17.50 Arrive at Bangkok with impression.

If he/she refuses to join the tours and arranged meals .Any tours or meals outside the planned itinerary will be at the risk of the individual and they will be responsible for pay for all additional costs.  All tour rates include the tour sights and meals. 
 
3. We will not take any responsibility of going in &out determined by the Laotian government, the holding of the illegal dissensions owned by the tourist,  wrong documents and the depreciated behavior of tourist. This includes the natural disasters and cancellation of the air flights.

Documents for traveling :

The passport must not be expiring within 6 months after the traveling date and must have over 2 empty front pages left.
